Explorando el futuro de los aceites vegetales

El informe hace hincapié en la importancia de respetar y apoyar los derechos de los pequeños agricultores y los sistemas locales de producción de aceite por sus resultados socioeconómicos positivos y su  contribución a la seguridad alimentaria. El informe reconoce que dentro de cada sistema de aceite vegetal hay tanto actores como resultados buenos y malos, e insta a adoptar una perspectiva matizada. Se recomienda un enfoque sistémico para abordar eficazmente los distintos retos. Entre el público objetivo figuran gobiernos, comerciantes, asociaciones de agricultores y procesadores, que desempeñan un  papel crucial en la realización de sistemas aceiteros sostenibles.

Blue Economy has various definitions, depending on the interpretation and principles in question. There is no one widely accepted definition, nor is there a set of founding principles. This report  represents an important first step in mapping the evolution of Blue Economy concepts, proposing a definition and founding principles for all Blue Economy-related work, through the prism of conservation and sustainable development, in all regions across the globe.

Tindakan konservasi berbasis area yang efektif lainnya (OECM) adalah tapak di luar kawasan perlindungan yang memberikan pelestarian keanekaragaman hayati secara in situ yang efektif dan jangka panjang. Konservasi keanekaragaman hayati mungkin merupakan tujuan utama suatu tapak, target sekunder suatu tapak yang dikelola untuk tujuan lain, atau mungkin merupakan konsekuensi yang tidak disengaja dari cara tapak tersebut dikelola. OECM dapat diatur dan dikelola oleh pemerintah, entitas swasta, masyarakat adat, dan komunitas lokal, atau kombinasi diantaranya. Alat bantu ini memandu penilai menjalani tiga langkah untuk menerapkan delapan kriteria yang menentukan apakah suatu tapak memenuhi syarat sebagai OECM sebagaimana diatur dalam Konvensi Keanekaragaman Hayati. Untuk tapak yang saat ini tidak memenuhi semua kriteria, alat bantu ini berfungsi menyoroti bagian-bagian yang memerlukan informasi lebih lanjut atau perbaikan dalam tata kelola dan pengelolaan.

Se divide en 3 partes: 1. Manual del facilitador – Guía que utilizará el facilitador para ubicarse durante el desarrollo del proceso de capacitación; 2. Detalle de actividades – Herramienta que incluye los cuadros didácticos, objetivos y el desarrollo de las actividades detalladas, así como las reflexiones necesarias para generar conocimiento en los participantes; y 3. Marco conceptual de apoyo – Soporte teórico que tendrá el facilitador para el desarrollo del proceso de capacitación.
