Legal measures for the conservation of marine mammals
Originally intended as a series of papers, the only entry in this loose-leaf collection Legal measures for the Prevention of Pirate Whaling investigates the legal aspects of the problem of pirate whaling, i.e. whaling by States that are not party to the International Convention for the Regulation of Whaling, 1946. It analyses a variety of legal measures available in both national and international law which might be used to prevent and deter so-called pirate whaling, and arrives at a series of recommendations for improving control mechanisms at both international and national level.
