GSAP Partners

Supporting implementation of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework through species conservation

© Steve Axford

Species conservation success depend on good partnerships. All partners are crucial for the development and implementation of the GSAP. They include governments, inter-governmental organizations and biodiversity-related conventions, technical agencies and institutions, Indigenous peoples and Local communities, civil society organisations, IUCN Members and Commissions, and biodiversity-related conventions, academic and research institutes, private sector and financial institutions, donor governments, multilateral donors, and the philanthropic community, zoos, botanic gardens, aquariums.

Their collaborative efforts amplify impact, leveraging expertise, financial and technical resources to prevent species extinction, reduce extinction risks, bring about the recovery of threatened species, and maintain and increase species abundance. Acting together, they form a global coalition dedicated to the implementation of the GBF.
