About GSAP SKILLS

Supporting implementation of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework through species conservation

The Global Species Action Plan’s Species Conservation Knowledge, Information, Learning, Leverage and Sharing Online Knowledge Platform

The Species Conservation Knowledge, Information, Learning, Leverage and Sharing (SKILLS) platform provides an online, open-access, user guide to the tools and resources listed in the GSAP as well as training support and technical guidance.

SKILLS addresses all 23 GBF Targets but its primary focus is on Targets 1-8, which are the most relevant for species, and which together comprise Goal A: Reducing threats to biodiversity.

Each target page contains the GSAP rationale summarising its importance for species, the main components where appropriate, and the tools and resources available. Primary tools and resources are those of most relevance to achievement of the actions and the target, while Other tools and resources are applicable to a more limited range of situations or smaller subsets of species. For each of the Primary tools and resources there is a short description, advice on use, and a link to more detailed information.

SKILLS is a dynamic platform and the tools and resources listed will be updated, and new ones added, at regular intervals.
